What is the SDCS?
Surrey DCS has been running for over thirty years and has a strong membership made up of families with deaf children and professionals in Surrey.
It is run by a committee of parents and provide support for both oral/aural and BSL approaches to communication.
Aims and activities:
- Help deaf children and their families meet other deaf children/adults/families.
- Provide support and information based on our own experiences.
- Fun events held monthly for pre-school, primary and secondary aged children across Surrey.
They also host big family events e.g. Christmas/New Year party, Easter egg hunt, Summer Fun day, Theatre and pantomime visits, Family Sign Language courses.
