How much should I expect to pay for a registered NRCPD interpreter?
Fees interpreters charge are dependent on the type of assignment, its location and the timing. Here is a general idea of what you could expect to pay:
£250 for a full day (09:00-17:00).
£125 for a half day (three hours).
For evenings and weekends there is often an extra charge on top of these fees.
Expect to pay travel costs, either public transport cost or mileage at HMRC rates of 45ppm, on top of the fee.
What do agencies charge?
Agencies charge various rates, some by the hour, others by the day.
The charge will include the cost of the interpreter and usually an agency booking fee.
By booking BSL interpreters direct you will save money.
